Muscle Shoals Music, Then And Now. Here are a few favorite groups, friends, and movers and shakers!

A friend, "Terry Pace, wrote the following today," So glad to see that Keith Richards mentions Jimmy Johnson, Roger Hawkins and Jim Dickinson (All From Muscle Shoals) in his fascinating and detailed remembrance of the Rolling Stones' historic Muscle Shoals Sound sessions from 1969. The account is published in Keith's long-awaited autobiography, I should add that Keith also mentions Rick Hall, FAME, Aretha Franklin, Wilson Pickett and Percy Sledge's "When a Man Loves a Woman" in establishing the musical pedigree Muscle Shoals already possessed before the Stones ever visited the area.

Below you will find a very small representation of Music History from my hometown area. Fame Recording Studios, Etta James, Bob dylan, Eddie Hinton, Rod Stewart, Bob Segar, Greg Allman, Allman Brothers Percy Sledge, Sam Phillips, Rick Hall, Patterson Hood and the DBTs. Gary Nichols, James and Dylan LeBlanc, Doc Dailey, Black keys, Secret Sisters, Jason Isbell and the 400 Unit, Band of Horses, John Paul White, Jimmy Johnson, David Hood, and the Swampers, Lynyrd Skynyrd, just to name a few.
