An Old Boy Must Provide Himself With Style That Reflects The Man, my wife says!

Its Sunday afternoon, its raining, storming, were dodging Tornadoes and I'm a bit bored. My wife enlisted me this morning to join her in participating in a new personal training venture, the loose weight and get into a little better shape venture. This is a good direction at this point in my life I tell myself. I play a little soccer, work out occasionally at a gym, yes this is a good idea I tell myself again, as I set here writing this weary from the 8 minute test to see how bad out of shape I am. Maybe more on this later,.... maybe not? So setting here a bit bored I am searching the Internet for new footwear as my wife and executive advisor has recommended new ones. She says what I have at present is a bit worn and it would be best for me to invest in something new. Something casual I say? What else do you wear, she says? Well I have that pair of, sorta semi formal? Saks Fifth Avenue horse hair loafers we found at a vintage store I reply, to get her going. She ignores me. I have my, "what I possibly could call vintage, Billy Reid Black Alligator Boots". The ones he had made as prototypes I say, yes, she says and they are looking worn also, you should have someone put some polish on them. She's right. I go on and ask her did she forget the Purdey, "Brown Cap Toes", or the two pair of Russell PH's or the casual Russell African Stalkers? I say, If the weather was cooler I could wear my new Hoffman Packs even, they're gonna look great with Levis after I get em broke in. No response. The Bean Hunting boots?.............. a little silence longer and I tell her I'll look into it. I have several other pairs of stuff bought on a whim that will not make it to this blog. I mostly wear boots, to the horror of some, mostly my Russell's. I am casual for the most part, but like most men enjoy an occasional dress up. I used to not wear ties but lately have been remembering my Dad and Grandfathers wardrobe. (must be an age thing) and am starting on a bit of a new path, but really it's hard to find what I want to wear that fits me. Thus the workout thing.

Here's where it's been

I'm looking into it, here's where it's going.
